MEET
THE INSTRUCTOR'S
Tracy Kuhn is owner and instructor at Dynamic Cheer & Dance Studio.
Tracy is originally from Jefferson, SD where she attended her first 8 years of education at St. Peters Catholic School.
In her high school years Tracy attended Heelan Catholic High School in Sioux City, IA then proceeded to USD in Vermillion,
SD for her college education. Tracy has more than 16 years of dance experience, more than 12 years of tumbling experience, and more
than 8 years of cheerleading experience.
During her youth Tracy studied ballet, jazz, lyrical, gymnastics, and theater at Siouxland Movement Arts Center in Sioux City, IA.
Here she attended summer workshops including instructor classes, as well as attending classes throughout the year 3-4 nights of her week.
During her summers in high school Tracy independently taught dance and tumbling to children in her hometown. Throughout her time at Siouxland
she traveled with her instructors to various master classes and workshops to continue her education. She was a member of the Jazz Company for
many years. She participated in the Nutcracker Ballet more than 9 years, as well as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and many other productions.
She also competed with her studio in various competition events, as well as individually.
In high school and college Tracy gained a love for cheerleading. She was Captain of her high school all girl cheerleading squad for four years,
and Captain of her co-ed cheerleading squad at USD for two years. While at USD she organized and headed various cheerleading camps. She participated
on a gymnastics team for two years in high school until it was outlawed by the state of Iowa.
Currently, Tracy teaches dance and manages the business at Dynamic, and coaches for the Brandon Valley High School Dance Team. This keeps her very busy
leaving little time for hobbies. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
In 2001 Dynamic Cheer & Dance opened for business. Since then the community of Brandon and surrounding areas have supported Dynamic.
The goals of Dynamic are to teach all children the art and sport of cheer and dance. The ultimate goal instilled upon our students is to
learn, improve, have fun, and most importantly always carry a positive attitude. |

Originally from Rapid City, SD, Roxie Truax is in her fifth year as Head Cheerleading Coach Instructor for Dynamic. Prior to Dynamic, Roxie was a Christian sports camp counselor at Decision Hills Camp in Spicer, MN. She is also a former National Cheerleading Association (NCA) All American, NCA Nominee, South Dakota All Star, and Top Five South Dakota Cheerleader. Roxie has over ten years of cheerleading experience.
Roxie is currently teaching math and coaching competition cheerleading at Washington High School in Sioux Falls, SD. This is her second year in the teaching profession. Outside of coaching and teaching, Roxie enjoys spending time with her friends, going to movies, and shopping.
Prior to teaching, Roxie attended the University of Sioux Falls and cheered for the Cougars’ football team and men’s and women’s basketball. She served as a Cougar Cheerleading Captain for three years during this time. Roxie misses her time spent as a member of the USF Cheer Squad and is proud to still be connected to cheerleading through coaching.
As a graduate of Brandon Valley High School, Roxie cheered for eight seasons on varsity cheer squads. She was a member of the Competition Cheer Squad for four years. Roxie was also a member of the BVHS Dance Team her freshman year.
Roxie is eager to receive additional training for Dynamic. In the summer of 2005 she attended the 7th Annual NCA Coaches Conference in Orlando, FL. Roxie is currently certified through the AACCA and the USASF credentialing program.
While coaching at Dynamic, Roxie’s personal goal is to provide every student with fun, safe, quality cheerleading experiences. She loves teaching others and working with children of all ages. Roxie admires her students’ positive energy and motivation to learn. Her most rewarding experience while working at Dynamic is being able to see her students improve and excel in class. |

Kelcey Anderson is a junior at the University of Sioux Falls. She is majoring in exercise science with a concentration in sports psychology. Kelcey is beginning her seventh year of instruction with Dynamic in cheerleading and tumbling.
This year Kelcey is a Sports Medicine Assistant for the athletic department at USF. Along with attending practices and games, she works with the athletes on rehabilitation. Working with the trainers has given Kelcey a great learning experiences as well as a huge involvement with the athletic department at USF. She loves being a part of the environment that is created with the teams before and during games.
For the past two years Kelcey cheered for the University of Sioux Falls in both football and basketball. During this time Kelcey traveled with the football team twice to Tennessee for the NAIA National Championship game.
Kelcey graduated from Brandon Valley High School in May of 2006. She cheered for the Lynx in both middle and high school. She served as Captain of the Wrestling and Girls Basketball Squads and Co-Captain of the Competition squad. Kelcey also cheered for the Dakota Spirit Xplosion in Sioux Falls for two years. During this time she had the opportunity to travel to Colorado and Florida to compete.
Before cheerleading Kelcey loved gymnastics. She was a team member at the Sioux Falls School of Gymnastics for three years and a member of the BVHS Varsity gymnastics team. In her middle school years Kelcey was a member of the Step-by -Step Pizzazz Dance Team and participated in various competitions.
In 2006 Kelcey was certified through the USASF credentialing program to further her cheerleading and tumbling education. She enjoys watching her students grow throughout their time at Dynamic and getting to know them and their families on a personal level.
In Kelcey’s free time she loves being with her family. She also enjoys the time that she gets to spend with her friends. Kelcey LOVES being with kids! She feels being a role model to her students is important and hopes that she inspires them as much as they do her! |

Ashley Hardick is a junior at Augustana College in Sioux Falls. There she is planning to major in Government and International Affairs and minor in Psychology. This will be Ashley’s fourth year teaching at Dynamic.
Here at Dynamic, Ashley is the assistant coach to both the Solar Eclipse and Mini Eclipse competition dance teams. She is also the head coach of the Twilights performance team. Ashley also teaches creative movement, pre-ballet, pre-tap, ballet, hip-hop and team technique.
Ashley has been dancing for six years. She has taken ballet, jazz, and hip-hop from various studios in Sioux Falls. In high school she danced competitively in jazz, pom, lyrical, kick, and hip-hop. Her senior year she was the captain of the BVHS dance team. She also danced in the spring musicals during high school. Ashley danced for one year for the Augustana Dance Team. They performed at various Augusta events and traveled to Chicago where they won three national titles.
In her spare time, Ashley works at American Eagle Outfitters and at Precious Angels Preschool. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, and enjoys shopping.

Elisabeth
Ode is a senior at Brandon Valley High School.
She has been dancing at Main Stage
Dance Studio in Sioux
Falls for eight years. Elisabeth joined the Brandon
Valley Dance Team in April of 2006.
Elisabeth’s dance experience includes ballet, pointe,
jazz and tap. She has participated in various dance
productions throughout her dance years. On her high
school dance team, she performs pom, jazz and hip hop
with her team as well as taking part in a small group
lyrical routine.
In addition to dance, Elisabeth enjoys band and playing
the baritone. She loves to shop and spend time with her
friends.

Kelsey Lund will be a junior at Augustana College. She is majoring in Nursing with a minor in psychology. This will be her first year at Dynamic with an emphasis in teaching ballet.
Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, Kelsey has danced since she was two. She danced at Woodbury Dance Center for over twelve years, nine of those years dancing on top, competitive performing dance lines. Training in tap, ballet, jazz and lyrical have made her a well-rounded dancer and performer. She has attended many dance workshops within the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, which have given her the opportunity to work with many talented choreographers such as Mandy Moore, Alex Little, and Greg
Russel.
While attending high school, she also participated in the annual fall musicals. She both danced and helped choreograph many of the numbers. Kelsey also participated in her high school’s dance team, of which she was captain her senior year.
Throughout summer 2009, Kelsey was a choreographer for a local musical theater camp called
Starplayers. She taught kids ages 4-15 dance numbers from many musicals, such as Hairspray, High School Musical, Jersey Boys, and many more. |

Jenna Steffel has been a resident of Brandon for over 11 years. Jenna is originally from Minnesota, where she attended BOLD High School, then proceeded to Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. Jenna has more than 17 years of gymnastic experience, taking lessons, competing and coaching. She also has over 14 years of tap dancing both recreational and competition, and 5 years of cheerleading experience.
During her youth Jenna was a competitive gymnast. She was the MAGA state gymnastics champion. She competed her senior year on the high school gymnastics team, winning the regional competition and continuing on to the Minnesota State High School Gymnastics meet. She also spent a lot of time in the dance studio studying, performing, and competing in tap dancing. Jenna also danced and assisted with the choreography for several high school musical performances.
In college Jenna competed on the Hamline University Gymnastics team. Competing at the NCAA Division III National Gymnastics Meet 3 consecutive years. Jenna has also coached gymnastics for several years, she coached all levels of gymnastics from toddlers to competition team.
Currently Jenna spends a majority of her time with her husband and three children. Gymnastics and dance have always played a major role in her life and she truly enjoys sharing her passion with children of all ages. Jenna believes in teaching in a fun and safe atmosphere and encouraging children to work toward their full potential. Jenna’s coaching style strongly focuses on positive attitudes, having fun, self-discipline and a strong work ethic. |
